On June 12, 2024, “Times Higher Education(THE)”, a UK-based higher education magazine, released THE Impact Rankings 2024. Nagoya City University is ranked 301-400th in the world and tied for 14th in Japan in the overall ranking. (1st place for public universities in Japan for the sixth consecutive year).

THE Impact Rankings assess universities’ contributions to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participating universities are evaluated based on submitted data and metrics from external sources.

Nagoya City University achieved a notable mark in the SDG3 ranking, placing 85th globally and 8th within Japan.
