Nature, Passions, and Ritual Technologies in Modern and Contemporary Japanese Religions
The present workshop explores connections and fractures concerning such crucial themes as the
relationship with nature, sexuality, and ritual techniques in modern and contemporary Japanese
religions. The three speakers start from different perspectives to analyze moments of crisis,
reworking, opening, and retraction of religious discourse from the Meiji period to contemporary
times.
